I've had a busy few months and have not been keeping my news page up to date, so here is a quick run down of what I have been up to this summer:
1. Polaris Duo performed at the World Saxophone Congress in Zagreb, Croatia. We gave the European premiere of Melissa Douglas' 'Spheres' and the world premiere of Paul Mitchell Davidson's 'Polaris'. It was amazing to meet so many people who love the saxophone and we had a great time in Zagreb.
2. I performed at the BBC Proms! I had a fab week playing with the CBSO in Birmingham, London and Edinburgh. It was an all French programme, playing my favourite composers Debussy and Ravel.
3. I was part of a really cool project, recording music that has recently been adapted for pedal harp. I recorded a few pieces by the composer Chris Norton, works that were originally for piano, but are getting their first performances on harp. Here is a link to one of the songs I recorded- https://soundcloud.com/elinornicholson/sparkling
4. I am really excited to be part of CLOUDS latest project. We have been in the studio, recording our latest album which we will be releasing alongside a tour in May 2019. Watch this space!
5. Many weddings! A few picture highlights of the many beautiful weddings that I have attended and felt lucky to be a part of.
