I was honoured to join the Sale Chamber Orchestra last night for a performance of Debussy's Dances for Harp and String Orchestra. Richard Howarth conducted the brilliant string section of Sale Chamber Orchestra, in which I also played the harp solo in the Adagietto from Mahler's Symphony No. 5. They also have a great initiative to encourage young people to attend the concerts, where young children get to sit in the front row and 'meet' the soloist in the interval so I had a lovely time speaking to the audience members.
